“Volio je popiti i pojesti. Dva puta tjedno navračao bi u restoran Ziatna školjka, sam ili s J. Moreau. Tadašnja Vlasnica restorana Vera Novak rekla je da je redovito za predjelo naručivao jastoga ili školjke, a potom oboritu ribu. Obožavao je i kamenice te prstace. Kad bi poželio meso, naručio bi tatarski biftek. Pio je bijela vina, najcesce žilavku.- Jednom nam je rekao da bi rado pojeo pečenog jastoga. Mi smo, naime, jastoga spremali iskljucivo kuhanog s majonezom i prilozima “a la bela vista”.” Rekli smo mu da ne znamo tako spremati jastoga, a on je odgovorio da će nas rado podučiti.Otišli smo u kuhinju i Orson je živog jastoga kratko stavio u kipuću vodu, izvadio i presjekao na dvije polovice.Zatim ga je dobro premazao maslom i stavio na roštili ljuskom prema žaru.Mi nismo bili profesionalni ugostiteIji, bili smo tek na početku rada s restoranom. Tako nas je Orson Welles naučio peći jastoga – ispričala je vlasnica.”
